Angola Motor Speedway Labor Day Blowout 4th - 6th

(Fremont, In) The Wide Open Tour will come to close for the 2009 racing season with the 1^st Annual Blow Out Weekend on September 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th. This weekend of racing will feature Hoss Outlaw Winged Sprints,Outlaw Super Late Models, Modifieds, Mini Stocks, FWD’s, Short Track Trucks, and MCR DWARF Cars.  Friday night September 4^th, will be open practice for all classes and camping set up for the weekend long party.

The first night of racing on Saturday night will feature the Budweiser Super Late Models going for $1,500 to win for their last race of the season. The Superior Auto Modifieds will be on hand running a  full program for the night tuning up for their biggest race of the year the following night, The Smith Enterprise Mini Stocks, Johnny on the Spot FWD’s, and Short Track Trucks rounding out the program. Saturday’s program will be NAPA Night at the Angola Motor Speedway.

The second night of the Blow Out Weekend will be the Open Wheel Spectacular brought to you by Angola Collision. The HOSS Super Sprints will be on hand with over 30 Sprinters expected with drivers being from all over Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. The Superior Auto Modifieds will be racing racing in their biggest race of the year paying $1,500 to win for 60 Laps with over 30 Modifieds excepted to race also the Smith Enterprise Mini Stocks, Johnny on the Spot FWD’s, and MCR DWARF Cars will round out the show.

The biggest story of the Blow Out Weekend is this will be the last time you will get a chance to see Indiana Racing Legend “Hurryin” Hank Lower race at the Angola Motor Speedway. Hank will be piloting his 900 horse power Sprint Car around the high banks of the historic Angola Motor Speedway at speed over 120 MPH. This will be Hank Lower’s second to last race as he’s set to retire after 50 years of racing.

Gates open at 1:00, hot laps at 3:00, qualifying at 5:00, and racing start at 7:00 on both nights of racing. Two day grandstand passes can be purchased an advance for $30 at Everage Auto or by calling 260-665-8686. Adult General Admission is $20, Students $10, and Kids 10 and under free. Free camping is available all weekend long at the race track for the Blow Out Weekend.
