Poll: Do you think the Mini Stock motor rules should be more limited for better competition?

Yes, for sure.
Minis seem to be the only class where the front runner doesn't have competition.
At Plymouth Darin Harrell is dominating.
At New Paris, Ryman and Anglemeyer are dominating.
So on and so forth.
This class has gotten way out of hand, so much for a begginers class.
People with money should be allowed to go as far as they want

WTF!! You could limit the class to stock engines ,no head work,1 bbl carb. And some one would work to find the right set-up and spank the panties off your ass every week, just like today. These guys work hard to be winners,it's not something that everyone is owed. There have been lots of different A feature winners at Plymouth and New Paris. If you want to win a championship, give up drinking, time with the kids, the wife and get to work on the car 24-7.You just might win that championship.Me I like the drinking and wife better!
max compression at 9 to 1 with stock stroke crank, both of these can be achieved,it is being done at track's nation wide.
Stock 2.3 comes from the factory at 9 to 1.Let's lower it even more to slow the cars down, bore the fans to tears so they quit comming to the tracks and kill short track racing for everyone! Sounds like a plan!
I say the officials need to wake up and really understand where this class is at and where it could be. The steel heads that are being built by most have just as much if not more money in them than a aluminum head ready to bolt on. Tracks have already allowed this class to be what it is. Why can't they realize that these are not what they used to be and are not the beginners class anymore. With the ease of availability the fwds are now your entry class so why not give a little more consideration to the fact that minis are a racecar and bring the rules and payoff up to snuff.
Maybe they should do what they are doing down south. On mini class has the stock 2.3 no head work and hydraulic cams only, the other mini class is running full blown 4 cyl latemodels. Coil overs and the whole bit. 10" tires a full latemodel chassis with a four cyl in it.
let me stand to correct my self i didn't mean 9 to 1 comp, but a flat top piston, then the builders can tailor there cylinder head to the desired amount of compression that is needed to get the job done, this is the 21st century, and there is 450 to 600 horsepower engines being sold every day that are low compression pump gas engine's.ledhead!!!Stock 2.3 comes from the factory at 9 to 1.Let's lower it even more to slow the cars down, bore the fans to tears so they quit comming to the tracks and kill short track racing for everyone! it looks and sounds like cork is on to something,it would make a lot of since since to put the front runners on the same page with like driver's,budget's,and equipment, and leave this mini stock class as a stepping stone to the outlaw mini class.ledheadMaybe they should do what they are doing down south. You guys talk like its the bottom end of these motors making all the power. Theres guys with stock bottom ends then they just get the best head. IF they tried to get the motors to all be lower budget they would need to start with the heads. But i like the idea of the outlaw mini stock class. If guys wanna have stocker cars and not go as fast then let um. And for the guys who work hard all the time im sure theyd love for tracks to open the class up.
I am with sweetcorn on this, cause the class is no longer close to being for beginners. The splitting of the class would work at NP more than any other track because of their car count. The only issue I see there is times get pretty close after the top 4 or 5 qualifiers. Tough one to make a decision on.
well, it is getting out of hand that you have to spend over 4000 on a head alone just to be a front runner at any track. you have guys that are running 8/9K esslinger motors (or something equivilant) and not everyone has that kind of money. but if you were trying to start a class or get a class going, limit the heads to hydrolic only, no rollers, 2 in exhaust, stock 2 barrel carbs, stock clutches.
