Plymouth September 12

Unlike M40 the night before, Plymouth had all but one of their track champions undecided. Only Derrick Griffin had locked up the Sportsman championship, the other 4 classes still had there points championship in the air. Kelton Kakely has been hard charging ever since he debuted in the 2009 season, and Eric Kiser was hoping to hold on. Randy Pressler had all but locked up his championship, but a bad wreck could change anything. Adam Terry was just holding on to his new title of Late Model points leader. Michael Mast was was fighting hard to hold off a VERY hard charging Darin Harrell, with just a 4 point lead/
The first feature of the night was the Sportsman division. While Kevin Gunkel had been fighting transmission problems all day long, he still managed the 2nd fastest qualifying time, Griffin was fastest. As usual Derrick Griffin was the leader very quickly with little problems. That didn't stop Tim Craig, Kevin Gunkel, and Brandon Zachary from putting on a gret show to the finish. Gunkel in 3rd had the obvious advantage over Craig but Craig wasn't going to give up the spot easy. Out of turn 4 for the final time, Craig ran Gunkel high and that caused Zachary to sneak under to take 3rd.
Next was the Mini Stocks. in just 3 weeks Harrell had made up over 40 points on Mast, and they put on a fantastic show. Mast battled his way to the lead, but a series of cautions put Harrell in the #2 spot and he was clearly chasing down Michael. Darin ran out of time in the race and the season, and Michael Mast took the Feature win and his first career championship.
The Late Models were next with Adam terry taking the Late Model points lead the week before over Shawn Amor. While Terry was just trying to keep Amor in his sights to lock up his Championship, a collection of out of town stars were trying to take the feature win. Steve Stacy was the early leader with Mike Shewchuk on his back bumper, but Jeff Ganus was hard charging. Ganus passed stars like Stacy, Shewchuk, Ty Hayes, and Bobby Stremme on the outside before he took the lead and the win on Season Championship night.
Eric Kiser took the checkered flag in the Front Wheel Drive feature after Kakley blew an engone in the heat race. Kiser raced side-by-side with Robert Reed for several of the closing laps without touching once. That meant Kiser took home the FWD championship.
That only left the Street Stocks where Randy Pressler took the Feature win and Track Championship!
