GRUBB TAKES MOTTVILLE FINAL!

MOTTVILLE,MI, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31,2009-Kevin Grubb won the final race of the 2009 racing season at the Mottville Speedway on a cold, windy Saturday!
Grubb held off Jim Newman for the win in the 25 lapper but it was yet another close one!
George Flowers had the final spin-out of the season as he spun right in front of the finish line but recovered for 3rd!
Newman won the heat.
In the heat John Org had his nose piece come off and hook onto his wheel and he could not steer. He ended up in the woods off turns 3 and 4 but after an assist from Shade Tree Towing was able to run the feature.
Grubb's win was worth $100!
Dave Logan won his 2nd Mini Thunder Car feature in two tries and this was an easy win for the veteran!
MTC season points champion Ryan Stauffer was 2nd followed by Eric Kvenstler and Tom Davies, Jr.
Logan also won the heat.
Terry Milliman came to the Mottville Speedway for the first time and made an easy $100 in winning the Street Stock feature!
Corky Knight was the Mini Stock season points champion with Davies 2nd.
Knight had hoped to race but fell ill after returning from a month long trip to China.
All of us at the Mottville Speedway wish him a very speedy recovery!
Current plans call for opening the 2010 racing season at Mottville on Saturday, April 3.
We hope to be open for hot laps on Saturday, March 20 and Saturday, March 27.
2010 will be the historic 60th consecutive of racing at the Mottville Speedway and the 20th under current ownership.
